Houtman are in the final stages of removing scaffold at ‘Toome Weir’ after having built a design scaffold for W H Scott & Son Engineers.

This was to allow the update of the outdoor power supply for the sluice gates at ‘Toome’ which along with other locks and weirs control the water levels and flow on Lough Neagh.

When this has been completed we will be moving to second stage of this project which is the gates located at The Cutts, Coleraine and then finally the third stage at Portna near Kilrea bringing this current project to a close.
